I started the day with a big hug for my abba.


Then we went swimming; only my second time but I finally understood where I was and had a blast!







Right before we left, we had some yummy ice cream.
When we got home, I had a relaxing snooze. What a life.

My first haircut (and other facial hair ruminations)

So mommy and abba have been saying for weeks that I needed a haircut and I didn't believe them. Once some chick last week asked "how old she was," I knew it was time.

At first, everything started out pretty cool. They had a baby einstein video there and I sat in a pretty sweet racing car chair:




Everything was going well until the nice lady cutting my hair started to press fast forward on the DVD remote, and then I actually realized "hey, there's a chick with scissors near my face!!!!"




Ever since the haircut, I've been wondering if I should grow some other facial hair to compensate for my very boyish looks. Here's me trying out a goatee with a cheerio:

A big update for my fans

Mommy says that last week was an aberration. To make up for only one post in 7 days, here are two of my cuter videos.

The first one is of me being a complete faker (since I've learned how to fake cough and fake laugh). The second one is of me yesterday being super cute all day long. I got a haircut yesterday, and look like a little boy now so stay tuned for pix and video of it!

If the camera adds ten pounds....

Hello Cheerio

Missing Mama

Mommy went to a friend's wedding this morning and has left abba to fend for himself. So far he's doing pretty well, but he told me that there's no way he could ever be a full time mommy.

I am standing up by myself with regularity and even inching towards taking my first steps. I cruise across the couch like a champ, and have begun feeding myself simple foods (yay for apple cinnamon cheerios). It's also less than two months until my first birthday! How cool is that!

Is there a translator in the house?

Sometimes when I get cranky, I try and say what I'm really feeling. Unfortunately, no one can really understand anything that I'm saying. Oh well.....

Cheese and squeeze

I like to play a game called "cheese and squeeze." It goes like this: Mommy or abba gives me a piece of cheese, and then I give them a big squeeze as a reward. Cheese rocks. Here is some video fo that and some other random stuff.

Mother's Day recap

I tried my best to give mommy a very special first mother's day. I let her sleep pretty late (crazy how 7 AM is considered late for mommys and abbas). Abba and I went and got her some breakfast (since lord knows Abba won't cook anything) and when she came back I had a special message for her:



Then, we went out for a field trip to the botanical gardens since it was such a beautiful day outside. As you can see, I wasn't so enthused about it on the ride there.

Once we got there, we saw so many beautiful things! Here are a few good shots of the fam:

A poem for Mommy

From the day I was born it was plain to see,
I had the bestest and world's greatest mommy.
She loves me and hugs me with all of her might,
holds me and kisses me when I wake in the night.
My poopies are gross but she doesn't care,
she cleans me up and gives me nice clothes to wear.
She always takes me with her wherever she goes,
with a wipee to clean all the snot from my nose.
Whether I'm super nice all day or a real big kvetch,
she loves me just the same - what a real catch!
She makes all of my food and boy is it yummy,
A lot ends up on my face, but also in my tummy.

I'll end this poem with one more thing to say,
I love you mama, and have a happy mother's day!

High Fives all around

Some updates...

- I have officially ruined my mother's phone. After being my favorite toy, we opened it up yesterday and months of my saliva poured out of the battery. Yuck.

- I am very, very attached to my mommy and abba these days. I give a big frownie face to people I'm unfamiliar with at first...but don't worry; if you play with me I'll be your best friend.

- I can't wait for the warm weather to get the heck out the house!
